Former president Bill Clinton was appointed by the U.N. as co-czar of Haiti's post-earthquake reconstruction. Prior to that, he was the United Nation's Special envoy to Haiti

Critics of former President Bill Clinton blame him for the rapid decline in Haiti economic condition.

It is reported that after the 1991 coup that removed Former Haitian president Jean-Bertrand Aristide into power, Bill Clinton continued with the same policy of his George Bush which is a policy of jailing Haitian refugees in Guantanamo.

He is also accused for pressuring Aristide to adopt free market economic policy as a condition of restoring him into power in 1994. This policy actually drove the country into becoming the poorest in the western hemisphere.

Before Ti-Paris, the early history of Haitian music began with the formation of big band orchestra and folklore musicians and/or groups which included Septentrional celebrating 60 years of existence , Jazz Des Jeunes, the Guinard brothers, Atomic, Tana, Titato, Maison Ante, Zobola, Diabolo, SAE orchestra, Les Etoiles, Ti Paris, Nirvana, Altchery Dorival, Gary French, Marcele Augustin, Richard Durossau Lumane Casimir, Yvon Luissain, and Meridionale des Cayes to enumerate just a few.

An idea originated from former U.S. President George W. Bush administration to create D.E.A. commando squads, the Current President Obama thinks that creating D.E.A. commando squads in Haiti and some other countries would be a great idea.

The program is named FAST which means Foreign-deployed Advisory Support Team. The D.E.A. commandos are able to arrest, seize stockpiles and disrupt drug smuggling routes
