Port-à-Piment Millennium Village Research Center
Port-à-Piment is part of the Côteaux Arrondissement. It was an unincorporated area, first known as Prickly in 1700. Two communes of 36,000 residents comprise Port-à-Piment, Paricot and Broomsticks.
Port-à-Piment has eight elementary schools, a high school, and two universities. Healthcare services are provided by a medical facility of three physicians, two nurses, five medical assistants and a lab worker.
Port-à-Piment's Millennium Village is a research center, funded for $150,798. It will target a spectrum of Port-à-Piment sectors: health, education, sanitation, agriculture, and disaster risk monitoring.
