Haiti Politic, the art of politic
While Haiti draws closer to a Presidential Election, the population still waits for the implementation of certain staples to make their elections more civilized. As yet, there has been no finalization of the electoral law, no time set for an election and great debate as to whether the Senators have, indeed, completed their term. The last election was done up quickly after the massive earthquake forced the need for it. This time around, the Haitian people ought to have a more deliberate route to democracy.
Political Confrontation in Haiti
This is one thing that is current in Haiti, Political Confrontation. This is a country that has had its share of crisis since its independence. Unfortunately, the Haitians have not been able to see that it is costing the country a great deal.
In Haiti, many of our politicians are not really interested in many of the issues that are affecting the population such as good school, health care, security, and others. For most Haitian politicians, what is immediate in their calendar is when will the next election in the country take place.
Because of the constant fight and crisis, the country has not been able to take off really. We need to think the real need for Haiti is not who is write or who is wrong, who is "Lavalace" or who is "Tet Kale", who is "Duvalierist or GNbist". The issue is Haiti and we are all in it
Former Presidential candidate Mirlande Manigat recipient of tear gas
Here is the picture where former presidential candidate Mirlande Manigat was taking part of a manifestation to demand the release of Florestal brothers from prison and the end of proceedings against the lawyer André Michel
This manifestation did not turn the way the manifestants wanted. According to Mrs. Manigat, the Police was cooperating at the beginning. However, they later to confront the manifestants who were demonstating peacefully.
After some unsuccessful attempt to negotiate with Mirlande Manigat, where the former presidential candidate was invited inside and to which she refused, the police decided to disperse the people with tear gas
Stéphane Moraille, Bran Van 3000 singer, seeks Montreal NDP nod
Bourassa is a home of large Haitian population and various ethnic groups. Three high profile candidates are running for nomination in the forthcoming the Bourassa riding. Stéphane Moraille from NDP, George Laraque, NHL enforcer for the Green party and Emmanuel Dubourg, who is seeking selection for the Liberal party. Stéphane Moraille is an experienced lawyer specialized in arts and communication law and winner of many singing awards including a Juno for "Glee". NDP leader Tom Mulcair approved his support and said he was honored to have a candidate of her stature. The diverse Bourassa, the north end riding, is reined by Coderre for last 16 years.
Dr. Hubert Deronceray, Haitian Politician
Dr. Hubert Deronceray, a senior member of the Convergence Democratique. Born on August 20, 1932 at Petit-Goave, Dr. Hubert Deronceray completed his primary education at Lycee Alexandre Petion. He later received a doctorate degree in Sociology at University Laval, Canada. He taught sociology at the State University of Haiti
For his political career, Dr. Hubert Deronceray was secretary of State for Education in 1972 and Minister of Social Affairs in 1978. in 1986, he created the political party Mobilization for National Development and in 2003, the Grand Center Right Front fighting. Dr. Deronceray became a Presidential candidate in the 1988 Haiti election
Gerard Gourgue, former candidate for presidential election in Haiti

He studied at the Lycée Alexandre Pétion in Port-au-Prince, then university in Haiti and France. In 1978, in order to fight the abuses of the dictatorship of Jean-Claude Duvalier and his Tontons Macoutes , Gourgue established the Haitian Human Rights League.
Gerard Gourgue was named to be part of the National Council of Government (CNG) following the exile of Jean Claude Duvalier. However, within a Month, he had to resign headed by Henri Namphy due to differences
Antenor Firmin, Haitian anthropologist, journalist, and politician
Antenor Firmin was born on October 18, 1850 in Cap-Haitian. He became a Haitian anthropologist, journalist, and politician. Antenor Firmin believes firmely in the principle that "all men are endowed with the same qualities and the same faults, regardless of color or anatomical form. For him, all races are equal.
His work was recognized by Haitians as well as scholars of Africans as an early work of négritude
