Introducing Surtab, made in Haiti

Surtab has unveiled its brand new touch-screen tablet, the first of its kind to be manufactured in Haiti. Adding to this patriotically attractive feature, is the equally appealing price-tag. With a factory price of US$85 or US$100 retail, the Wi-Fi version should prove an economically viable option for most Haitians, young and old, who can realize their goal of owning a tablet, with the Android OS at their fingertips, brought to them by the effort of their fellow Haitians.

Ezuli Freda

Ezuli Freda

This fickle Haitian Vodou God is the natural rival of most women as the type of beautiful creature that attracts men far and wide, bringing up the envy of women in her wake. Extremely hard to coax into imparting luck, the god of all things refined, beautiful and rich, Freda is most likely to take on tasks when worshiped on her sacred day, Thursday. It is said though, that when she is served correctly, her blessings come on fast. One needs to always remember that cleanliness and freshness are two of her favorite things, along with expensive or elaborate gifts of jewelry, food or trinkets, preferably in white or pink.

This beloved Haitian Vodou God is often seen wearing the colors blue and gold. When the mood strikes, she can also be seen in green or the red that signifies her inclusion into the Petro Iwa. As an Iwa or Lwa, the spirit loves to receive offerings of cigarettes that are unfiltered and strong, rum, griot, Florida Water perfume and crème de cacao.
