Cheryl Mills an Admired State Department Official

Cheryl Mills has been a long-time loyal Clintonite. A Stanford Law School graduate, she became an aide for Bill Clinton's transition into the White House. During the Clinton impeachment proceedings, she served as his counsel.

When Hillary Clinton ran for president, Mills served as counsel to her also. In 2009, when Hillary became Secretary of State, Mills managed the State Department's directives on Haiti.

President Obama praised Mills as an outstanding public servant.

Pierre André, pastor of SHALOM, began preaching at Delmas Church of God as an unordained minister. His gift for preaching led the School of Theology to admit him to its course in miracles program.

When André abandoned Delmas for a clerical position in Port-au-Prince, the church refused him ordination. In response, he offered his own edition of a course in miracles at 1000 gourdes. Since then he has built a media empire, becoming one of the most successful businessmen in the Caribbean.

It is getting more evident that the election in Haiti will be held in 2013. This is after some important signs this week.

U.S. Senator Bill Nelson who is in a visit to Haiti this week stated that President Michel Martelly told him that legislative and local elections that are past due, would be held before the end of 2013. The real question is that who told whom what
in the same week, In a similar move, Patrick Nicoloso stated that election is possible in 2013.

Also, the President of the Haitian Senat, Simon Dieuseul Desras stated that he is certain that he will have on hand the electoral law

Les Cayes Croix des 4 Chemins

Aux Cayes, better known as Les Cayes, is a town situated on the southern coast of Haiti's Tiburon Peninsula.

The town has survived plagues, pirate invasions, fires, and hurricanes. Its most noted event was when Simon Bolivar used the port as a strategic spot to receive weaponry and infantry units to fight the Spanish and liberate South America.

Les Cayes contains a teeming port that exports sugar, coffee beans, bananas, cotton, lumber, and animal hides.

New Hospitality Training Facility Opens in Les Cayes

A hospitality training center was launched in Les Cayes with President Martelly and Stephanie Villedrouin, Minister of Tourism, attending.

The school was built where Senegalese peacekeepers representing the UN mission had formerly based their operations.

Minister Villedrouin has made hotel and restaurant training a high priority in her department. She says the goal is to offer vocational training for youth in the South Department so they can work in a profession that pays decent wages.

Haiti Government Blames Les Cayes Massacre on Gang Leader

A brutal mass slaughter occurred at LesCayes prison not long after Haiti's 2010 earthquake shook the island.

Accounts vary about who was to blame. The government asserts a prison gang leader murdered a dozen inmates before he ran to freedom.

Investigative journalists report Haitian National Police massacred inmates rioting because they had been beaten and crammed into cells. The reason for the beatings was the hysteria the confined men felt during the earthquake. Police shot some victims at point blank.

Prime Minister Lamothe and Minister of Tourism, Stephanie Villedrouin have been accused of deceiving the Les Cayes townspeople an international airport would be built on the town's periphery.

The accuser, Gabriel Fortune, representing the Martelly government, demands Lamothe provide a reason why the airport project has been abandoned.

A Lamothe aid, Jean Thanis, said it was uncertain if the rumors were true. He added he would meet with Martelly to get the facts surrounding the controversy, and report back to the community.

Rumors have been infiltrating Les Cayes community government of Haiti is reneging on its pledge to erect an international airport on the city's outskirts.

Residents are upset because an airport would increase tourism while providing much-needed jobs.

Officials in the Martelly-Lamothe government are scrambling to verify if the rumors are true. Meanwhile a former aid to Martelly is claiming Prime Minister Lamothe and Minister of Tourism, Stephanie Villedrouin, have been lying to the community.

Les Cayes is a city located on the south coast of the Haitian Tiburon Peninsula. It is a place that has weathered epidemics, piracy, mass killings, and natural and man-made disasters.

It is most famously known as a logistic spot for weapons and armies that helped Simon Bolivar conquer Spanish invaders in Venezuela, which led to South America's liberation.
