Since the 2010 earthquake, the city of Port-au-Prince has been the center of many issues in Haiti. The Mayor of Port-au-Prince, Muscadin Jason Jean-Yves, has been in the forefront, advocating for a plan to bring the Haitian capital back into its feet. The Mayor of Port-au-Prince is working on a plan to get Haitians all over the world involved in the reconstruction of Port-au-Prince. Recently, mayor Muscadin Jason Jean-Yves unveiled a 3.3 billion dollars plan to rebuild the city of Port-au-Prince. The plan was developed by the Haitian Center for Research in Management and Development (CHRAD) and submitted to president Michel Martelly. It is a comprehensive plan that will address several important issues such as housing and environment

A well known host in the haitian community in South Florida. Jessy Schuster is the host of a popular Caribbean show on Public TV, Pulse. The show airs on WPBT2 on a regular basis.
At one point, Jessy Schuster was the host of the show En Vogue.
She was born in Schiltighein, France. Moved to the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. She is fluent in Frenchm English, Creole and Spanish.

Jude Celestin
Jude Celestin became known in Haitian politic when he ran for the president of Haiti in the 2010 election. Many people see him as a figure who will be directed by former President Rene Preval. He is the son in-law of the former President and was handpicked for the UNITE platform, a political party created by Rene Preval.
According to is plan for Haiti in the election, Jude Celestin intends to empower people with disabilities, by providing education and opportunities to succeed in life.

Here is the Palais legislatif in Haiti that was destroyed in the 2010 earthquake. This building was the official place for the Senators and Deputees to conduct the business of the country.
A temporary place was constructed recently to allow the Senate and the Deputees elected with a plan to built a permanent one in the future

Continental Airlines To Start Travel To Haiti
One of the largest U.S. airlines has decided to start flying to haiti. Continental Airlines flights will leave New Jersey at 9:25 a.m. and arrive in Port-au-Prince at 12:15 p.m. Their return flight will leave Haiti at 1:20 p.m. to arrive at Newark Liberty International Airport at 6:15 p.m.
