Marie Carmelle Jean Marie, the former Finance Minister of Haiti as accepted to be the Advisor for Economic and Financial Affairs for the Haitian Presidency. Both President Michel Martelly and First Lady Sophia had long discussions with Jean Marie before the Iron Lady eventually agreed to take up the position which shows that her previous resignation was primarily because of Laurent Lamothe and not Michel Martelly.

This problem was made worst with the import of a different type of pig to Haiti to replace the Creole pig.
