Marie Carmelle Jean Marie, the former Finance Minister of Haiti as accepted to be the Advisor for Economic and Financial Affairs for the Haitian Presidency. Both President Michel Martelly and First Lady Sophia had long discussions with Jean Marie before the Iron Lady eventually agreed to take up the position which shows that her previous resignation was primarily because of Laurent Lamothe and not Michel Martelly.

One single act that has affected the living condition of the Haitian peasant for a log time is the nationwide slaughter of Creole pigs. This is to date considered one of the government's single most devastating moves.
This took place in the 1980's in Haiti and the Haitian peasants have not recovered since. This was based on fear of the American government of a swine flu outbreak that was happening in the the Dominican Republic. This problem was made worst with the import of a different type of pig to Haiti to replace the Creole pig. However, this new breeds could not adapt to the Haitian environment and became more expensive to maintain

Inauguration Of Marche Savane Pistache
President Joseph Michel Martelly participated in the Inauguration of the new marche in carrefour-Feuilles in Port-au-Prince.
Marche Savane Pistache is located in the center of Port-au-prince and has been built to deal with the ungoing problem of Jobs in Haiti.
March Savane Pistache will be able to house over three hundren Haitian merchants and provide services to close to 25,000 people in the area

Economist Kesner Pharel reacted about Remobilized Haitian Soldiers
The popular Haitian economist did not paint a bright picture regarding the Remobilized Haitian Soldiers. Kesner Pharel stated: "The state is in all countries, the monopolist of violence. When there is competition in the violence, the state does not exist,". He further mentioned that the security of the people in Haiti is not certain becaouse of so many armed individuals
