Gashford Guillaume, founding member of Mozayik
Gashford Guillaume, one of the founding members of the band Mozayik, has his parents to thank for the influence that has made his band's sound a resounding promise of things to come. Having come from a family with strong musical ties, he picked up the skill from his father and older brothers.
Born to Haitian parents, and still having relatives living in the Caribbean, Guillaume has taken his band there before to perform in the International Jazz Festival held in Port-au-Prince.
Haiti and Taiwan, what a friend for
Haiti has demonstrated to be a friend of Taiwan for a long time. The island of Haiti one of 23 countries to recognize Taiwan as a self-governing island. As a consequence, Haiti put itself in direct conflict with Mainland China that considers Taiwan as part of its territory. China objects to diplomatic recognition of Taiwan by other countries.
Diplomatic relations between Haiti and Taiwan were established in 1954, five years after the late Chiang Kai-shek moved his government from the mainland China
In addition, it has been supporting Taiwan in its ongoing and unsuccessful effort to gain admission to the United Nations.
In return, Taiwan has been one of Haiti's most consistent allies and dependable in the area of aid.
The Obeah Religion
Obeah is associated with both benign and malignant magic, charms, luck, and with mysticism in general.
Obeah or Jamaican folk magic, sorcery, and religious practices derived from West African, and specifically Igbo origin. Obeah is similar to other African derived religions including Palo, Voodoo, Santería, rootwork, and most of all hoodoo. Obeah is practiced in Suriname, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica, Guyana, Barbados, Grenada, Belize, The Bahamas and other Caribbean countries.

Cotes-des-Arcadins, Haiti
Haiti is located on west of the island of Hispaniola. It constitute the heart of the famous Cotes-des-Arcadins that in English mean "the Arcadian Coasts." They are long stretches of white sandy beaches, in fact among the most aesthetic in the world. On Tuesday July 26, the president rolled on the tourism week by meeting hotel owners at Cote-des-Arcadins. During the meeting, the parties agreed on a way forward to revive the tourism industry, which constitute a major economic growth sector in Haiti. The 15-kilometre coastline has six operating hotels with 452 rooms. This is valued at 50 million dollars and around a thousand tourists are accommodated in a week. The two hotels that have been in operation for long, since 1984, Club Indigo and Beatrice Nadal Mevs can give an account of the coastline situation.

Club Indigo, formerly Haiti's Club Med, is a recently renovated hotel that offers varied fine wines, cuisine, child friendly facilities and a lovely wedding venue.
