Carolyn Desert crowned Miss Haïti 2014
This is fantastic. Carolyn Desert was crowned Miss Haïti 2014. She has been receiving a lot of positive feedbacks since. Many people think that she has many advantages over her opponents. Beside her natural beauty that many people will not ague against, , Carolyn Desert is super smart.
At mid point, the 5 finalists were: 1. Carolyn Desert, 2. Chistie Désir, 3. Jennifer Verdieu, 4. Nastassia Raymond and 5. Rose Cathelyne Paul. However, at the end, she was crowned Miss Haïti 2014.
This contest was declared a success and it gained the support of many. Mme Stephanie Balmir Villedrouin, Ministre du Tourisme, took the occasion to congratulate Ms. Carolyn Desert, she also announced that casting for Miss Haiti 2015 will begin on October 1st, 2014

Martelly Government to issue birth certificate to close to 2 million Haitians
The Haitian government finally has decided to make a headcount of all its citizens. It will soon proceed in the distribution of 2 million birth certificate forms to allow all Haitian citizens without a birth certificate to obtain one. The government will provide this service free of charge. This was made possible, thanks to a Presidential Decree made to address the problem of Haitians without a Birth Certificate in the country
