Antoine Rodon Bien Aime accused own party PHTK of fraud

Here is a picture of Antoine Rodon Bien Aime who decided to accuse his own party PHTK of fraud.

Antoine Rodon Bien-Aimée, a deputy of the parliament, who is rumored to have switched from Martelly's PHTK to Jude Celestine's LAPEH Party, has accused the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) for orchestrating a massive fraud. He has accused the involvement of his own party members from PHTK in the fraud, a party from which he has been elected recently. As per Rodon's allegation, one Canadian citizen named Sylvain Coté, working for UNOPS, changed the ballots while they were being transported from Bureau Electoral Departementaux (BEDs) to the tabulation center in the capital city. Coté is an expert on electoral issues and had served many responsible positions in MINUSTAH, IDB, USAID, OAS, CIDA and NDI before joining UNOPS on electoral logistics. Once he was even a member of a firm belonging to ex-Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe.

Here is a picture of former Senator Moise Jean Charles on horseback riding during Protest.

Two Haitian presidential candidates, Senator Steven Benoit and former Senator Moise Jean-Charles have accused Haitian police of firing them at point blank during a protest against the alleged fraud committed in the country's recent presidential election. As per Senator Benoit's statement, he was hit in his head and three other places by rubber bullets. A third candidate has said, he and his supporters were threatened with arrest by the police. On Wednesday, November 18th, the presidential candidates from three opposition parties had organized their supporters to demand the cancellation of October 25th election or removal of the government backed presidential candidate Jovenel Moise, a candidate from the outgoing President Martelly's Tet Kale political party.

As per Senator Benoit's statement, they were particularly targeted by the police in the crowd. The police fired rubber bullets at both the Senators Steven Benoit and Moise Jean-Charles while dispersing the protesters with tear gas. Since the publication of preliminary results between November 5th and 12th, there were at least 20 protest demonstrations and this was the largest of all protests, organized by three political parties.

However, as per Frantz Lerebours, a spokesperson of the Haitian police, the police were "obligated to break up the protest", because, the protesters approached "a sterile zone,"- the Provisional Electoral Council's Petionville headquarters in the capital city.

Since the publication of preliminary results between November 5th and 12th, at least twenty protest demonstrations have been organized in 7 days. Some of the main claims associated with these 20 demonstrations were: Complaints of expulsion from the electoral race; Denunciation of handling of the minutes; Denunciation of ballot stuffing; and Release of Pitit Dessalines supporters, arrested and held in custody. Teams of researchers with supports of Brazil-based Igarape Institute have conducted two surveys, one immediately following the election on October 25th and another on November 5th, after the announcement of preliminary results. Eighty two percent of the exit poll voters were agreed on the Election Day that the election was fair, there was no fraud. However, when the same voters were asked after the result on November 5th, Ninety percent of them said they now disagree with the earlier statement.

The Government of the Republic of Haiti has expressed its anxiety over the issue that different demonstrations organized to challenge the results of recent elections are becoming increasingly violent, defying all the code of conduct for peaceful demonstrations. On November 18, 2015, one of such demonstrations has even vandalized the noble inaugural ceremony of the renovated historic site of the 'Battle of Vertières' on the day of its 212th anniversary. The protesters disobeyed the separators marking the boundary of protests and forcefully wanted to enter the premises of CEP. On November 18, 1803, Haiti won Independence from France in The Battle of Vertières. The enslaved Africans successfully led a revolution for their freedom in a two month long battle to become the first country in the world history to ban slavery and become the world's first Independent Black republic.
